I have always been an artist; it's in my blood. I have been drawing, painting, and sewing for as long as I can remember. My grandmother was an artist, as was her mother. My grandma taught me to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding our home in Calgary, Alberta.
Because of my love for art and design, I pursued a degree in Interior Design. After being accepted to the highly competitive program and completing a year of courses, I then realised that my true passion was in creating fine art, causing me to change my major. I graduated with a B.A. in Visual Arts. I later earned a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Art Education and taught in Australia and Canada.
Alongside my love for creating, I also have a passion for travel, first leaving home to start my university studies in Hawaii. Since that first journey, I have lived in Taiwan, England, Australia, Indonesia, and now I'm back in the United States living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
My artwork is inspired by landscapes around me, and my subject matter and style evolves along with the every-changing landscapes around me.
My work currently explores the grit and beauty of Pittsburgh's architecture and landscapes.
