The Utah Collection

Five Paintings Inspired by Stillness, Space, and the Desert Light

I am pleased to share my first collection of 2025. This series of five oil paintings is inspired by the breathtaking winter landscapes of Utah. This body of work is rooted in the early morning hours; those quiet, golden moments just before and after sunrise, when the desert is hushed and the distant mountains begin to emerge from the shadows.

During my time in Utah last winter, I was struck by how the land transformed at first light. The mountains, though vast and enduring, felt almost weightless in the soft morning air. Ridges were veiled in pinks, pale blues, and gentle ochres, and contrasting shadows stretched across the earth, creating a natural rhythm of light and stillness. These were the moments that stayed with me, and they became the heart of this collection.

Each of the five paintings captures a different sunrise scene, with mountain ranges in the distance anchoring the composition. I have kept the palettes subtle and airy to reflect the fleeting, almost sacred calm of those mornings. The works invite quiet reflection to pause in time where everything feels held in balance.

I have omitted human figures to create space for your own emotional connection with the landscape. My hope is that these pieces bring a sense of openness and peace, offering a moment of stillness no matter where you view them from.

The Utah Collection is now available to view and collect. I hope these paintings resonate with you as deeply as the land inspired them.
